The Team 2 of the "Laboratoire de Neurosciences Cognitives", INSERM Unité 960, is part of the Départment d'Etudes Cognitives (DEC) at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris.

Our primary interest is to gain a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying our abilities to understand what an observed agent is doing from her/his nonverbal behaviour. We combine several approaches, psychological (self-report questionnaires), behavioural (performances and reactions times), psychophysiological (such as skin conductance) and neuroimaging techniques (fMRI and EEG) in healthy individuals and in individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our experimental research is mainly carried out at CENIR (Hopital de la Salpetriere, Paris). The Team is currently funded by INSERM, Fondation pour la Recherche en Psychiatrie et Sante Mentale, Fondation Orange and EU Six Framework Program.
